\nFLORIDA FISH & WILDLIFE FEATURE ALBERT EARL GILBERT PAINTING ON SESQUICENTENNIAL LICENSES
\nMay 7, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Internationally known Florida wildlife artist Albert Earl Gilbert is honored to have the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission feature his artwork of the Mockingbird on Orange Blossoms image on this year\u2019s hand card licenses in celebration of our nation\u2019s Sesquicentennial.\u00a0 Every license card displays the painting featuring the Florida State Bird and Florida State Flower.\u00a0 The original painting, presented by the artist to the State of Florida, hangs in the Governor\u2019s office. It was also chosen to grace the cover of the March 1973 \u201cFlorida Wildlife\u201d Magazine.<\/p>\n

Mr. Gilbert, known as a wildlife artist for conservation, is a permanent resident on the Southwest coast of Florida where he continues to enjoy the mockingbirds and the orange blossoms, and hopes that his painting helps continue to inspire people with the beauty of Florida\u2019s natural treasures and the need to conserve them.<\/p>\n
